The vision of P.T.R Engineering College is to contribute to society through the pursuit of education and research at the highest international levels of excellence while simultaneously encouraging freedom of thought and expression, respect for diversity and inculcating the values of courage and compassion.
Mission
The Sasikala (Memorial) Education Trust was established in the year 1984 by lion R.Pandiyan in memory of his departed daughter Baby Sasikala with a view to promoting education especially Technical Education in the rural & urban areas throughout the state of Tamilnadu.
To start with Thanapandiyan Polytechnic College was started in the year 1985 in Uchapatti Village of Thirumangalam Taluk of Madurai District. Location Situated 7 Kms from the city limits on the Madurai-Kanya kumari National High ways (NH-7) and one has to take City bus Route No 52,48 & 49 and so on to reach the college site. The college has also provided own transport facilities for the students & staff from Madurai city and Thirumangalam.
