Chandy College of Engineering, Chandy Nagar, Thoothukudi, a private-self financing, non minority, co-education institution established in the year 2009 by the great philanthropist Mr.P.Selvaraj under Pitchandi Poornamaalai Ammal Trust is managed by a Governing Body consisting of Eminent Personalities, Educationalists, Professionals and Industrialists as members.
It has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi ((AICTE File No: Southern Region / 1 412302301/ 2011 / EOA, dated 01.09.2011 [permanent ID No:1-8472709) and is affiliated to Anna University of Technology Tirunelveli and Anna University Chennai. The college is situated in a serene atmosphere with excellent infrastructure that includes hi-fi labs with latest equipments and fully furnished classrooms.
The demands of the corporate houses are listened to and English language proficiency programmes are conducted to make the students employable. Discipline is given more importance as it is vital for young mind to progress without any distraction. The college has established a Quality Management System for its systematic academic functioning and thereby received ISO 9001:2008 certification within a short span of time since its inception.
