Mahendra Institute of Engineering and Technology launched in 2009 by the Mahendra Educational Trust under the visionary leadership of legendary educationist and renowned Philanthropist Shri. M. G. Bharathkumar, Chairman of the Trust. Mahendra Institute of Engineering Technology is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology Coimbatore. Currently five undergraduate degree programmes and a postgraduate degree programme in Engineering & Technology are being offered. With the commitment of the dynamic management, and the dedicated service, the institution will expand as a nodal institution of excellence in near future.
The total built-up area of the present infrastructural facility is 15,744 square meter. With the entire advanced modern class rooms and laboratories, computing facilities, Library, play facilities and Multipurpose Gymnasium, the students are provided with all round knowledge, hands on training with potential employability skills to be a readily employable engineering graduate in the ever growing changing scenario. The College placed at Mahendhirapuri, Mallasamudram is 25 km away from Salem on the Salem to Tiruchengode main high way.
