VRS College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1994 under the aegis of SPS Educational Trust. The College is functioning with the approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and All India Council for Technical Education and affliated to Anna University, Chennai.It is managed by a Board of Governors with Mrs. Vijaya Muthuvannan as its Chairperson and Mr. R. Ramanathan as the Secretary and Correspondent. Er. M. Saravanan looks after the entire administration of the College.
The College is situated 15 km from Villupuram on the Villupuram Thiruchirappalli National Highway at 170 km South of Chennai. The nearest Railway Station is Villupuram Junction, where as the nearest Sea and Air Ports are at Chennai.
