About College
University College of Engineering Kanchipuram established in the academic year 2010-11 by the Government of Tamil Nadu as a Constituent College of Anna University of Technology Chennai is temporarily situated at Bhaktavatsalam Polytechnic Campus, Karaipettai Village & Post, Kanchipuram-631552 which is about 5 km from Kanchipuram and 65 km from Chennai, on the Chennai-Bangalore Highway. The new born institution is initially offering four engineering under graduate B.E. Degree programmes in various disciplines with annual intake of 240.
Although the institution was introduced in the counseling list in 2010 through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission, all the allotted seats were completely filled up and among them, 219 wards had registered for B.E. Degree Programmes during the inception of the College. Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls are also facilitated. The University is taking necessary action for the construction of permanent building for the engineering college in a prime location in Kanchipuram.
