National Conference on Separation Techniques in Chemical And petroleum Engineering
Description
The Chemical Engineering Division of VIT University, is organizing a two day National level conference entitled TechnoSCAPE 2013- “Separation techniques in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering” on 22nd and 23rd August 2013. The conference is expected to bring together researchers, engineers, scientists and experts from industries, research and academic institutes around the country.
This Conference focuses on the application and development of separation techniques in Chemical and Petrochemical industries and aims to discuss new ideas and trends as we move further into the 21st century. This symposium will focus on all aspects of chemical, biochemical, petrochemical and eco-friendly separation techniques.
Separations are ubiquitous and crucial in the chemical and petroleum associated industries. A separation process is employed to transform a mixture of substances into two or more distinct products. The separated products mostly differ in their physical or chemical properties. The application of separation processes in both chemical and petroleum engineering is very important. Barring a few exceptions, almost every element or compound is naturally found in an impure state. Often these raw materials must be separated into their purified components before they can be put to productive use, making separation processes essential for the modern industrial economy
